A Styled Wedding Photo Shoot on a Warm Summer Evening

As a new wedding venue, we knew it was essential to have imagery which portrays to you the beautiful, unique space which we have for you to get married in at The Little Chapel.  As a social enterprise, we needed to get these images at little or no cost and we were overwhelmed by how forthcoming local businesses were to help us.

For our photo shoot, everything you can see was given for free.  The photography, the cake, the decorations, the bridal bouquet and corsage and the catering.  Our Bride and Groom Davina and Austen, even donated their time to be our models, almost a year after they tied the knot for real.

The photography was provided by Joseph O'Sullivan who donated his time and expertise to create our gorgeous pictures.  Our first glimpse of the images Joseph had created almost brought a tear to our eye.  They portray perfectly the romantic, vintage and charming feel of The Little Chapel.

The cake was provided by The Cake Eating Company and the beautiful simplicity of it worked perfectly with the heritage charm of our wedding venue.  Not to mention, it was utterly delicious.

Flowers on Cashmere provided the bridal bouquet and the buttonhole, and it is clear to see why they are now our recommended supplier.  The ladies are so very friendly and easy to deal with, definitely get in touch if you have not yet chosen your wedding florist.

The sumptuous looking buffet table was created by The Catering Belle, who provide the food at our neighbour cafe Good Habit.  Why don't you pop in and check them out?  The temptation for us having them next door every day is unreal. Plus, the interior of their cafe is similar to the feel of The Little Chapel and may help you to decide whether The Little Chapel could be the venue for you.

To style our venue, decorations were borrowed from Cressy Lane (now Cressy and Charmed) and The Little Hire Company, aisle and altar flowers were borrowed from Three Roses Designs, the floral wall which provided a beautiful backdrop for photos was provided by Twiggy Blooms.

We we are so very lucky to have such generous connections in the wedding industry in Christchurch, who enabled us to create these images and show you our 'hidden gem' wedding venue in the centre of Christchurch.  A place which has been hidden from view for over 120 years, is now available for you to use on the most special day.  Have you booked your wedding venue yet?  Why not come and have a look at The Little Chapel.

We would like to extend a huge thanks to everyone who was involved in our photo shoot back in February, you are all amazing!
